Description

The Weather Radar Widget and Weather Radar App add the ability to view weather radar on compatible Garmin wearables, bike computers, and handheld devices when paired with your smartphone. When started, the widget will enable the GPS to get your current location. Then download and display the current radar image on the screen. From the menu you can adjust the zoom level and image type. Weather Radar can display rain radar, Infrared Satellite, and color Infrared Satellite images from AerisWeather, or rain radar from RainViewer.

Weather Radar Widget 4.0 has been redesigned to provide a better user experience on initial install by eliminating the need to create a separate account and manage developer keys with another third party. Since the radar data is not free, starting with version 4.0, this widget will now be offered under an annual subscription. In order to provide users with an opportunity to try it out before subscribing, a 21 day free trial will be offered the first time the Weather Radar Widget or Weather Radar App is installed on a new device. After the trial is over, a subscription will be required to download radar images. Re-installing the app will not reset the free trial
